Installing the Managed Package

aprity is delivered as a Salesforce managed package (namespace aprity). aprity sends you the installation link together with your activation code.

Step 1: Install the package

1. Open the installation link aprity sent you, and sign in to the org where you want to install aprity (production or sandbox).
2. Choose Install for Admins Only. Other users get access later through the aprity permission sets (Step 3).
3. When Salesforce asks you to approve access to third-party websites, approve it. The package calls aprity's services at aprity.ai addresses; without this approval, registration cannot reach aprity.
4. Click Install and wait for the installation to finish. Salesforce sends you an email when it is done.

Step 2: Check the installation

1. Go to Setup > Installed Packages.
2. Check that aprity is listed.

Step 3: Assign the permission sets

The package contains three permission sets:

Permission set	Give it to	What it allows
aprity Admin	The administrator who sets up aprity, and the integration user	Setup, registration, connection, starting analyses. Signs in to the web portal with the administrator role.
aprity User	Everyone who reads the documentation	Opens the aprity app to see analyses and the web portal link. Signs in to the web portal with the reader role.
aprity Agent User	Users of the aprity Org Expert in Agentforce	Lets the user call the aprity Org Expert actions in Agentforce (Intelligence and Trial plans).

The web portal checks these permission sets

When someone signs in to the web portal, aprity checks their permission sets in Salesforce. A user who has neither aprity User nor aprity Admin cannot sign in to the portal.

To assign a permission set:

1. Go to Setup > Permission Sets.
2. Click aprity Admin (or aprity User).
3. Click Manage Assignments, then Add Assignment.
4. Select the users and click Assign.

Minimum setup

To get started, assign aprity Admin to yourself and to the integration user. You can add readers with aprity User at any time.

Step 4: Open the aprity app

1. Click the App Launcher (the nine-dot icon).
2. Search for aprity and open it.

The aprity Setup Wizard opens. It shows a pre-registration checklist and guides you through the rest of the setup.

Troubleshooting

Problem	What to do
aprity is not in Installed Packages	Wait a few minutes and refresh. Check the email Salesforce sent at the end of the installation.
"Insufficient privileges" when opening aprity	Check that the aprity Admin or aprity User permission set is assigned to your user.
The installation fails	Check that your org has API access (see Prerequisites) and send the error to aprity.
