How to Connect Confluence
aprity can publish documentation directly to your Atlassian Confluence instance using OAuth 2.0 (3-legged OAuth). This guide walks you through the connection setup.
Prerequisites
- Professional or Enterprise plan.
- Confluence Cloud instance (Server/Data Center is not supported).
- Confluence admin permissions to authorize the OAuth application.
Steps
- Open the aprity app in Salesforce.
- Navigate to the Connectors tab.
- Find the Confluence card and click Connect.
- You will be redirected to Atlassian's authorization page.
- Sign in with your Atlassian account if prompted.
- Review the requested permissions and click Accept to authorize aprity.
- After authorization, you are redirected back to aprity.
- Select the Confluence space where documentation should be published.
- Select a parent page under which aprity will create documentation pages.
- Click Save to complete the setup.
info
aprity requests read and write permissions to your Confluence space. It will only modify pages under the parent page you select.
Verifying the Connection
After saving, the Confluence card on the Connectors tab displays a green Connected status. You can click Test Connection to verify that aprity can reach your Confluence instance.
Disconnecting Confluence
- Go to the Connectors tab.
- Click the Disconnect button on the Confluence card.
- Confirm the disconnection.
This revokes the OAuth token. Previously published pages remain in Confluence but will no longer be updated by aprity.
tip
If the OAuth flow fails, verify that your browser allows pop-ups from Salesforce and that your Confluence instance does not block third-party OAuth applications.
