How to Set Up Agentforce

Agentforce allows aprity to integrate with Salesforce's AI agent framework. The aprity managed package ships two Apex invocable actions (aprity - Answer Documentation Question and aprity - Record Help Feedback); you attach them to your own Agentforce agent by following a 5-step guide. This page summarizes the flow -- the full walkthrough is in Agentforce Setup.

Prerequisites

  • Intelligence or Trial plan with the Agentforce feature enabled.
  • At least one completed aprity scan.
  • The aprity managed package installed.
  • Agentforce enabled in your Salesforce org.

Steps

  1. Open the aprity app in Salesforce.
  2. Navigate to the Agentforce tab.
  3. aprity runs automatic readiness checks (feature enabled on your plan, at least one completed scan).
  4. Follow the 5-step guide shown in the tab:

Step 1: Create the Agent

In Agentforce Studio (Build > Agents), create a new agent from the Agentforce Employee Agent template (New Agent > Details > Select Template > name it aprity > Let's Go).

Step 2: Add the Documentation Subagent

In Agentforce Builder, add a Documentation aprity subagent with the classification description, scope, and instructions provided in the guide.

Step 3: Add the Actions

Attach the two aprity Apex invocable actions to the subagent (Reference Action Type: Apex, Category: Invocable Method).

Step 4: Activate and Test

Activate the agent in Agentforce Builder and test it in the Conversation Preview panel or the Testing Center.

Step 5: Deploy to Users

Assign the aprity Agent User permission set, grant agent access via Apps > Agent Access in a permission set, and point users to the Agentforce icon in Lightning Experience.

info

The Agentforce setup is a one-time process. Once the agent is active, its answers automatically follow your latest completed scan -- no reconfiguration needed after each scan.
